Mannaz
Therapy Space

Provides Face-to-Face Sessions
in Katoomba As Well as Online Services

Mannaz Therapy Space provides face-to-face sessions in Katoomba as well as online services.

Therapy needs to be accessible.  While locals can access the studio, clients throughout regional Australia, urban centres, and New Zealand can book online consults. A space needs to embody more than just walls and floors, windows and comfy chairs.

Therapy is a place of connection and transformation. It’s a process that supports people as they reconnect and align with what’s valuable and important to them.

The therapy process is about achieving greater self-understanding and personal insight.  Life is subjective and can be perplexing, but knowing ourselves better is about trying to find new ways to contextualise the things that challenge and distress us.

Therapy is often about understanding and re-framing these events within the context of our lives, allowing us to feel more balanced, regulated, and emotionally secure.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

“My breathwork session with Polly was novel and amazing.  I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Polly held the space so well and made me feel relaxed and safe – it was my journey, and she was there to guide me through it.  I felt very cleansed after the two hours, delighted by the insights and experience.  I thoroughly recommend Polly as a breathwork practitioner.”

Jasper E. (40s)

“Reed has been the most wonderful counsellor over the past two years.  From the start, I trusted him and felt safe to tell my story.  Over time,  I felt he was holding a place for me to let go of my shame and grief that had dominated my life for over 20 years. I am no longer drinking alcohol – which I was using to self medicate – and now feel I can like myself again and feel a sense of peace.  Reed gave me practical resources to continue on my path of peace and self love which have been invaluable.  I am sincerely grateful to Reed and would highly recommend him.”

Libby B. (50's).

“The sessions with Julie were both therapeutic and insightful. Therapeutic because she enabled me to identify my values and work ethics, in a calm and encouraging environment, logically working through the issues and encouraging me to think objectively – what values I would look for in a future employer and what type of work environment would allow me to realise my full potential, as well as support the values of the organisation. Julie supported my efforts to return to the workforce, not just in words, but in actively assisting me through applications and interview scenarios.”

Robyn Culbert, Educational Trainer

“We have both been attending couples counselling for over a year now. We first approached Reed as we are a young married couple & our past baggage & fears were impacting the relationship. Reed instantly put us at ease by providing a safe & professional environment where we could be vulnerable. Thanks to Reed, we now have the tools & communication skills to work through any external or self-inflicted challenge that may arise. With much thanks & gratitude.”

Cam & Angie. (30’s).

“Reed is professionalism, warmth, persistence and expertise all wrapped up in a really wonderful human being.  I can’t recommend him enough.”

Annabel C. (40's).

“From day one I felt safe and supported, and that I could be open about anything that was troubling me without fear of judgment.  In the past, I had seen quite a few psychologists and counsellors, but this was the first time I really felt understood and that the sessions were worthwhile.  Over two years with Reed as my therapist, I came to a place where I was able to remember my goals and dreams, and I became excited about the future.  It was quite a life-changing feeling.”

Erin D. (20's).

Julie is always calm and focussed. She listens intently and her responses to my issues are always considered and empathetic. Her down-to earth approach to creative coaching has been invaluable to me. She is able to go to the heart of any problem and help me to get perspective and balance back into my creative practice. Without Julie’s gentle and wise words, my writing path would have been a great deal rockier and more treacherous. Thanks to Julie’s guidance, I have stayed on that path and arrived at my destination.”

Stella Collier, Author

“Thank-you so much for your kindhearted insight, compassion and support of me. My time with you is very precious and I will hold it close to my heart always.”

Anne M. (50's).

“Julie helps you see life as it is and then make it all you could ever want it to be. Julie is very supportive and encouraging in her approach and she possesses a keen eye and innate ability to get to the core of an issue or stumbling block. She asks highly relevant and well considered probing and insightful questions to help you understand the true issue of what you are attempting to understand and work with. Julie has a well-attuned mix of straightforwardness and compassion to suit any given situation.”

Carol McGowan, Coach, Counsellor and Educator

“Reed is a thoughtful and professional therapist. He recently helped my partner and me during a very difficult time. We now feel like our relationship is back on track. Thank you, Reed, for all your support, for your blog posts (which I often go back to and re-read) and your consistent and non-judgemental approach.”

Steve P. (40’s).

“Julie was extremely helpful in updating my resume, she spent a lot of time and effort in making it look professional. In addition, the facts sheet Julie gave me on ‘How to prepare for an interview’ and ‘Frequently asked interview questions’ were very useful when preparing for that all important job interview.”
